Kristof Segers
Flight F of the Ultra Stack Championship brought the final starting flight to a close inside Red Space, Taipei, drawing 303 entries for the late-night turbo at the Asian Poker Tour Championship (APTC). The steady flow of players throughout the day helped push the overall total across all six flights to an impressive 1,867 entries, which generated a prize pool of TWD 40,327,200.
As expected with the fastest structure of the event, the chips moved quickly from the opening level. Eliminations came in waves as players looked to secure one of the final spots in the money, and by the time the bubble burst, only 42 players remained. All survivors sealed a guaranteed cash, and will return on Wednesday, Nov 19, to join the qualifiers from the five earlier flights.
Topping the field was Kristof Segers, who surged throughout the closing stretch before finishing with a commanding 3,700,000 chips. His performance not only earned him the Flight F lead but also placed him at the top of the overall leaderboard heading into the Final Day. With the stacks now combined and the full prize pool locked in, Segers will start Day 2 as the player everyone else is chasing.
Ultra Stack Championship Flight F Top Ten Chip Counts
Nguyen Trung Quan claimed the second-biggest stack after sealing up 2,700,000. Nguyen has been in strong form this season and won the APT High Roller in Taipei earlier this year for VND 7,936,600 (USD 247,930), a result that also earned him an APTC Main Event seat. Rounding out the top three was Australia’s Tam Truong, who advanced with 1,895,000 and brings close to USD 1,200,000 in live earnings into the Final Day.

More talent followed inside the top ten as Wing Fai Kwan continued his impressive series by bagging 1,455,000, good for fourth place on the overnight leaderboard. Kwan also finished fourth in the National Cup Championship earlier in the festival for a career-best score of TWD 1,333,500 (~USD 44,010).
Malaysia’s Jeremy Chan closed with 1,390,000 and will again be chasing a deep run on Wednesday. Chan came painfully close to an APT title in the APT Super High Roller in Incheon earlier this year, where he finished second for KRW 223,790,000 (~USD 160,650). With another shot at a lion trophy now in front of him, he enters the Final Day with plenty of motivation.
Lester Edoc
Rounding out the top ten is Lester Edoc, a name that needs no introduction. The Filipino star holds an extensive collection of APT hardware, including two Main Event titles. A stack of 880,000 gives him a solid platform to make a push toward another major final table on Day 2.
Some other notables to make it through include Alan Lau (880,000), John Matsuda (745,000), Ferdinand Lu (610,000), Natural8 Ambassador Sparrow Cheung (230,000), and Florencio Campomanes (180,000, who comes back with one of the shortest stacks.
