Alexandru Papazian doubles up

Hand #10: Alexandru Papazian opened A 3 from under the gun to 130,000 and Hao Chuang three-bet to 290,000 from the next seat holding A J . Papazian let it go.

Hand #11: Nishant Sharma raised to 120,000 on the button with T 9 and Matas Cimbolas called in the small blind. Papazian then shipped his stack of 1,200,000 in from the big blind, Sharma folded, and Cimbolas snap-called.

Cimbolas picked up another premium and was a huge favorite to thin the field down to seven. Papazian was looking for an ace, but didn't find it on the J 3 9 flop.

A jack would do the trick also, as would clubs after the K turn gave Papazian a flush draw. All eyes were locked on the river, and when the Q peeled off, Papazian survived as he made a flush.
