FAQ
Who is eligible to play in the Blogger Poker Tour?
If you own your own blog or particpate in writing for a group blog and are able to display the Blogger Poker Tour participation banner on your blog, then you are eligible to play on the Blogger Poker Tour.
Entries are encouraged from new blogs, but you may be required to exhibit a regular posting history before you are permitted to play in BPT events. Typically we require that brand new blogs sit out at least one event and we constantly check all participant blogs to make sure their blog is still active. Click here to register.

How do I register for a BPT tournament ?
For you to to play in a Blogger poker tour event, these four things need to happen.
1. You sign up and place the participation banner on your website.
2. Our servers check your site for the participation banner and if it is found a real person will then look at your blog to make sure it is suitable. If it all checks out, your blog will be verified and your link will appear on the blogroll.
3. A few days before each event we issue all newly verified bloggers with a 'Validated Participant Coupon'. This will appear in the coupon section of your cahsier within the Poker.com software. If you have this coupon you are eligible to play in BPT events.
4. To register for a particular BPT regular season tournament, you will need the password. Passwords are posted on the host blog, usually about 7 days out from the tournament.
if you have questions about any stage of this process, please contact support@bloggerpokertour.com.
What do I receive as a participating member of the Blogger Poker Tour?
You will be eligible to play in all preliminary $500 freeroll tournaments, and your blog will be linked from the BloggerPokerTour.com blogroll. If you finish in the top 20 on the Blogger Poker Tour leaderboard, you will be given an entry to the Blogger Poker Tour Season 2 Grand Final. All Blogger Poker Tour players are of course eligible for the same freerolls and bonuses as regular Poker.com players.

Why is the participation banner not displaying correctly on my blog?
Some bloggers have been reporting that the participation banner will not display correctly on their website.
It is important that you copy the html code EXACTLY as it is sent to you. If you have copied the code exactly and the banner still does not display correctly, then your blog host may be preventing the use of flash. We will release a alternate version of the participation banner soon that does not require flash - check back here for an update.
Why has my blog not been verified?
Either you did not put the participation code on your blog correctly, or your blog was deemed as not being acceptable. We try to email all bloggers whose blogs are deemed as unacceptable - most of the time it is because your site was not a blog.
It is important that the participation banner code is not changed at all. If you changed the code, then your blog will not be verified. If you need to generate the linking code again, please click here.
- Why don't I have a coupon yet?
A few days before each event we issue all newly verified bloggers with a 'Validated Participant Coupon'. This will appear in the coupon section of your cahsier within the Poker.com software. If you have this coupon you are eligible to play in BPT events.
If it is less than 24 hours before an event and you think you should have been issued a coupon, please email us at support@bloggerpokertour.com.
How are the leaderboard points awarded?
You can earn BPT leaderboard points for the following accomplishments.
Playing in a BPT event
All players receive the same number of points as their inverse position in the tournament. If you place top 10 you get extra points. For example if you placed 1st in a field of 100 players you would receive 100 points multiplied by 300% = 300 points. See the how it works page for full details.
Hosting a BPT event
All BPT hosts receive the same number of points as the winner of their event.
Referring Bloggers to the BPT
Each blogger you refer to the BPT will earn you 20 leaderboard points.

How will the 2nd major prize be decided?
The winner will be decided by a vote of the Blogger Poker Tour team and the season 2 BPT hosts. We will take into account the quality of the Blogger Poker Tour coverage you provide, any innovative techniques used to promote the BPT, the positioning of the BPT banner on your site, and the quality and frequency of your other blog posts.
What is a Grand Final entry coupon worth?
Technically it is worth nothing, as they are not transferable. However, seeing as it gives you a 1-20 chance at over $20,000 in prizes, each seat in the BPT Grand Final is theoretically worth over $1000.
Do I have to play at Poker.com to be eligible to play in the BPT?
All Blogger Poker Tour Participants must have a Poker.com account, but there are no play requirements for BPT eligibility.
Can I withdraw any money won in the BPT freerolls?
Sure, once you have met the very lenient play through requirements you may withdraw any freeroll winnings. We only imposed the play requirements so that everyone gives the Poker.com cash games and tournaments a try. If you have feedback regarding the Poker.com software, we'd love to hear it - use the feedback form in your player admin.

Do I have to put the participation link on my blog?
Yes, all participants must show the BPT flash banner and text link on their website. We have automated means of checking for this link.
How do I know if I am eligible to play in a BPT event?
