Sofia Lovgren at the APT Mystery Bounty Championship

Sweden’s Sofia Lövgren, who dominated the APT Mystery Bounty earlier this festival, was among the first to jump into the fray of the APT Main Event Championship, becoming the first female player spotted on the floor as the action kicked off.

With total live earnings of USD 781,871, Lövgren added a significant boost after capturing the Mystery Bounty Championship title, pulling the biggest prizes from the pool and walking away with an impressive TWD 2,268,380 (~USD 74,870) along with a Pewter Lion APT Championship Trophy.

As she geared up for the Main Event, Lövgren shared that she has been eagerly anticipating the tournament after securing her seat through the Mystery Bounty. Well-rested and energized after a good breakfast, she believes this year’s field could set a new record for the largest freezeout event in Asia.

Already riding a strong run this festival, Lövgren now sets her sights on adding another trophy to her mantle, the coveted Golden APT Main Event Championship Lion, to join the growing lion family she’s building.
