Ohta Ami
The APT Women's Championship, sponsored by LIPS (Ladies International Poker Series), took its turn on the floor at Red Space in Taipei City, bringing in a vibrant mix of female players from all over the region and beyond. The ladies weren’t just ready to display their poker skills, they arrived expressing individuality, style, and presence in a field that carried equal parts glamour and grit.
From bold fashion choices to cool table composure, the room buzzed with personality. A total of 119 entries (88 unique) graced the felt across ten levels of late registration, generating a prize pool of TWD 3,598,560 (~USD 115,340). By the end of twelve 40-minute levels, only 48 players remained in contention for the title and the coveted APT Pewter Lion Trophy.
Closing out the day at the top of the leaderboard was Japan's Ohta Ami with 352,600 in chips. A two-time APT Jeju Women's High Roller champion, Ami proved once again why she is one of the most formidable players in the field. Her late-game surge included a double knockout to firmly establish herself as the frontrunner going into the final day.

Yu Han Su
Hot on her heels was Taiwan's Yu Han Su with 326,900 in chips. Su steadily climbed throughout the day that when the last seven hands was called, she was the player to catch. Bagging up the third largest stack was another local player, Yi-Jhen Ke, with 306,000 in chips. Late in the day, Ke picked up a substantial portion of Chien-Chih Weng's stack with a small blind special hand.

Other notable players still in the race were WSOP bracelet winners Shiina Okamoto and Jiyoung Kim. For the latter, she maintained a healthy stack all day, ultimately bagging 192,100 in chips for a top-ten finish. As for Okamoto, she had a quieter day at the felt but her presence alone was already a force to reckon with. She closed the day with 71,400 in chips.

A few spots down the rung from Okamoto was Sofia Lovgren who crushed the APT Mystery Bounty Championship earlier in the week. Lovgren shipped an exciting three-way to help build up her stack to 67,900. Also finding a bag were Rosalie Petit, Monika Zukowicz, Natalie Teh, and APT host Elfin Lin.
