Zhao was getting loose and had a huge portion of his stack at risk. A flop of 9 A 6 missed everybody, as did the 4 turn. Only a ten or a deuce could eliminate Nitsche, but he survived when the 5 rolled off.

Zhao becomes the new short stack, and Nitsche vaults up the counts to third.
